Garolite print surface for 3D printing.
Thin Garolite sheets can be attached to flex plates and allow for fast part removal.
Garolite comes in a multitude of
compositions
and colors. Most companies sell the "Red" colored Garolite sheets for printing on, however, I prefer this grade, even though it is more expensive.
My Garolite contains
no fiberglass
like many other grades, including the "Red" Garolite. Once sanded, the microfibers from the woven material bond tightly to your printed materials, latching onto them tightly. When you clean your print surface in between multiple prints, sand it to remove debris and raising new fibers. This can be done hundreds of times, renewing the surface. I don't always print in the same spot, moving my prints around the bed. How many times you can print before cleaning depends on size and parameters of the print. I usually get about ten prints before I clean and re-sand the surface.

Notes:
Please measure your build surface before ordering. Other sizes are available upon request.
* Garolite sheet can be wet sanded with a 60 - 200 grit sanding sponge from HomeDepot. Use 1 drop of dish soap while sanding to remove any oil from handling the surface. Rinse and dry before reinstalling onto your printer.
**Hold down clips should be
re-bent

***The clips are "Free" and I do not offer any warranty with them, they are just a nice extra item that should help you hold your Garolite down for printing. Many use the squeeze open style clips. I prefer 3M adhesive film personally.
**** Garolite sheets may be cut to size by scoring with a razor blade (please see video above for examples)
